About us

For over a 1000 years Eastwood has been served by our beautiful and historic Grade 1 listed church. Today St Laurence still seves the Parish and plays a large role within the local community. We are an Anglican Church within the Diocese of Chelmsford offering a mix of traditional and contemporary worship. Our mission is to continue the work of Jesus Christ and share His story with future generations. We seek to create a worshipful atmosphere which is at the same time relaxing and welcoming.

On Sundays we have our traditional 9.00am Holy Communion (BCP) followed by our 10.30am Family Communion service with singing, creche facilities for parents with young children and tea and coffee after. We also have a midweek Holy Communion on the third Thursday of every month, an evening service on the first Sunday of every month and special services throughout the year.

As a church we also offer coffee mornings, afternoon teas, bible study groups, midweek daily prayer at 9am in the church, Messy Church, fundays, holiday clubs and our popular parent and toddler group ‘Honeybees’.

We are an inclusive church and everyone is very welcome at any of our services or events.

Please see our ‘What’s On’ page for updates on services and events or follow us on Facebook @stlaurenceeastwood.
